The creation of the ERSD and the HOGY...(private Pm Henji to join)

Tinker tinker tinker, that's what Henji was doing. His hands twiddled away with a small collar in his hands and at his desk. He had been working on a way to suppress reaitsu as much as possible. It was an experiment that would be useful to all who could wear it. It would allow the user to suppress all natural reaitsu given off by a spiritual being. However, there was a problem.

the core seemed unstable and able to burn out on it's own source. There had to be a way to use the suppression against the core to allow it to do a loop as it were. The loop would take the reaitsu as it was exerted and send it through the core. The core would use it to power the device and all excess would be nullified by the device. It was thought out and complicated. However, with some experimenting it could succeed. At least that's what Henji hoped.

Placing the core inside the device he slapped it on a reaitsu generation device. Then, he placed a reaitsu detection device next to it. With this he simply would watch to see how much of the reaitsu it produced would be noticed by this extremely accurate device. His hopes were high and he bit his lip as he turned on the generator.

A low hum emanated as it started up. It went from a deep low and slowly started to get high pitched and loud. He stopped at the level of a fifth seat. The generator pumping out only that of the level and he turned on the collar. Small beeping and booping came from the collar as it started up.

The sound was a bit irritating but then again what could you do about it. If it worked he would silence that part and allow for the silent and lightless machine. His hopes started to rise more as it started to take in the reaitsu. It was set for full nullification. Slowly the reaitsu was drained from the generator. The dial reading in seat stats as it worked it's magic.

'5,6,7,8,9,10...unseated.....Academy....Rukongai citizen.....Nul-' and before it could fully get to 'Full Nullification' the machine over loaded. It started to suck more and more from the generator. It sucked so much that the generator was struggling to generate at all. The collar even started to suck some in from the surrounding area. Taking part of Henji's as it kept going. Turning it off with barely enough time to spare he stood up, brushing hmself off and felt as though he failed.

His thoughts them sparked. 'If I adjusted the amount the coil could hold them possibly it could, instead of nullifying it, use it to power the machine and store the none used in it's battery. However, once it's full I would need to find a way to nullify the excess. What if....the battery was used to power a null field....no that wouldn't work. AH HA, what if I used the battery to...no. If I take out the battery and make the collar use the reaitsu of the person and send it back at them at that level it will nullify that much and therefore cause them to only exert the amount left which will be what I want....YES!!!!' he thought as he scrambled to take it apart.

Slowly he adjusted the pieces of the collar. The springs being adjusted and the inner workings remaining a mystery to those looking upon it. It was like a jigsaw puzzle to everyone except Henji. All the intricate workings of it were like a simple and extensive palace of a workings. He laughed a bit, well more of a chuckle, as he tinkered like always. His mind wandering to what ever it did and finally he finished it, or so he thought.

Taking the collar yet again he placed it on the generator and started the thing. It beeped and booped like before and this time it seemed to work. Then, before reaching even ear fifth seat it shut down. All was good but reaching fifth it simply just shut down completely. The lights went out, the hum continued and it was a failure. So, thinking and wiping the sweat off his brow he plopped on the chair. His legs stretched out and he could feel the tension in the air. it was a possibility that it wouldn't work yet again and he would have failed epically to be a good scientist.

But his mind wouldn't let that happen. Taking the collar off the generator he placed it on the table and took it apart yet again. Screws, a few coils, a large object that looked like plutonium for the core, and a somewhat odd looking large coil that was the same height as the core. Placing these things aside he examined each and every one closely. He found the problem only after a few moments however, like always it was the last piece he checked that was broken.

The core had over charged sending an feed back to the collar's other intricate pieces making the core crack. It was this that caused the machine, in an ingenious piece of work, fail. He thought a bit more and finally came to a conclusion to use a more stable and higher density core. Walking over to a cabinet he rummaged through the shelves it took him a good half an hour to find what he was looking for. As soon as he did he let out a yelp of happiness and yelled yes.

His hands brought out a somewhat large object. It stood the same height as the last however, this one was more of a thicker version of the last core. it's copasity was three times as much as the last and he had to fit that in the collar. Adjusting and twisting the springs, screws, and the core he tried to make it fit. It was set up so that the reaitsu would be regulated by the springs and thus causing the amount of reaitsu being stored in the core less. However, the core needed to be super charged first so the springs had a duble function. In the fist second, where everything could be made or broken, the springs would take the reaitsu and multiply it but only if the reaitsu of the user was third seat or less.

He fiddled with it and finally it all fit. He placed it on the generator and set it for fifth. Turning the generator on he waited a moment and turned the collar on. It hummed and things. The collar sucked all that reaitsu out with out a hitch. It was a success but the true test was captain level...then CC level. And even citizen level. turning it to Captain level he tried it again. The collar stuttered but kept it with out a hitch as well. Everything under the captain level was cleared as it would work with captain and Fifth, it would work in between.

He turned it to the highest setting the generator could go and it was set to Captain Commander level. The collar didn't stutter or even shift at all. Instead, it worked with no problems and did the job. He finished it and all was good. He took the collar and headed to the entrance to the institution.

Standing there he waited his arrival, he was expecting one of three people, or even all three, but he waited none the less.

Artemis was searching. What exactly was it she was searching for? Noone knew, not even herself. She flipped a hand through her hair, sending a small wave of brown behind her like a cape upon her head. She was noble, yes, but she didn't look it right now. The trip had taken a lot out of her. Her once beautifully decorated dress was reduced to nearly shreds beneath a burlap-brown cloak. Her blue eyes closed briefly, then opened.

Such a long, but boring day. What should she do? Who was she searching for? Questions seered through her head. Where do I go from here? Avoiding tradition was bad enough, but running away from home was always far worse. Truly though? Would she be missed? The only man of importance in the family was her brother and he had vanished; disappeared forever from her memory. Where could he be? She briefly wondered if she was searching for him.

No.. That wasn't it. It was something more deep than him. Was it herself perhaps? She closed her eyes as the warm wind flitted over her skin, scratching her already sun-burnt cheeks. Her uncle would be angry, but there was no worries, she wasn't ready. She wasn't noble-like in her manners. No.. she didn't wish to attend balls and such instead.. she preferred to be just. To simply exist.

As she ran a sore hand through her hair she did miss her gentle and easy life, but it was too obvious as her eyes rested on the distant sun, "Well... it's too late to turn back now." The person she was speaking to? Herself. There was no need for anyone else.. was there? Then there was silence. Soaking it up, she allowed her eyes to rest back on the entrace of some building. A man?

He noticed the woman and in a small flash he appeared next to her. His eyes somewhat wide he let his right hand gently lay on her shoulder. His voice started up and it was soft, sweet, and angelic.

"Fourth seat Vegra, Please come inside. I am going to start an invention that will surprise even the Captain Commander. Please sit down on the chair near the other table."

He said as he walked in. He then stood in front of the table ready to make that project that would only lead to the prospect of something interesting.

Artemis blinked, nearly jumping out of her skin as he rested his hand on her shoulder. Her eyes found him and she had to blink a few more times to recognize who he was. It was the captain of twelfth division, essentially hers. She laughed lightly and stood, "Sorry aboout my awful appearance." She bowed curteously.

There was a paus before she shifted the cloak over her shoulders better, embarressed, before walking inside and takling a seat as he ordered. She felt so lost and kind of sad, however, duty was duty. As her eyes turned back to him, her mouth barely moved, "Invention? What is this about?"

"Have you ever heard of the myth of the Hogyoku? The thing that can destroy the barrier between shinigami and Hollow. It allows hollow to gain shinigami like powers and shinigami to obtain hollow like powers. And, I'm going to make it real. I'm going to break the barrier of shinigami and hollow a second time."

He said, his voice stern, cold, and heartless. It was because of what he would make, the prospect of killing innocents. His hands slammed on the table at this thought. He finally got to it. He first had to think of how it could be accomplished.

'perhaps if the object dematerialized the soul slightly. Or how about forcing the body into a hollow transformation while the body is still present. That way, the person is able to harbor the hollow like the Vaizard. So that way, would work perfectly.' He thought as he stood there. He then slammed his hands on the table and spoke.

"I got it."

After, he walked over to the cabinet. Taking out a small device he looked at Miss Vegra, smiling he walked to the table and placed it on the table. He started to tinker with it like always. His hands working the object. He stopped and walked to a door near them. Opening it he placed the object in the room. His hands placed over a metal piece near the wall. He started to speak lightly and the object started to glow.

it pulsed with a passion and lifted from the ground. It started to twirl and twist. As it lifted his hands moved gently and slightly to the left and right. It lifted to a certain height and finally was ready. Walking to it he placed his hand over it. The power pulsating from it. He knew he had to create a seal to harbor what he needed inside of an object like this. So, he decided to use this as the seal for his device. The object was see through with a small sphere inside. The sphere was what was going to contain the items to be able to do what he planned.

He placed his hands to his sides and walked to the door of the room. His eyes constantly moving about. He knew what he needed to do and what had to be done to test such a device. He would have to essentially kill innocent people to accomplish his objective. He wasn't heartless but he wasn't going to let this experiment go untested either.

His eyes locked on his fourth seat and they showed gentle and kind emotions but as soon as he started to turn towards the object and all he had to work on they went cold and cruel. His right hand reached over and grabbed an object that could be considered an odd version of a testing machine. It was like a pen sort of, almost a screwdriver even. As it was pointed towards the object it pulsed in unison with it. He gave a low mur mur of happiness as it saw this.

His face displayed some of happiness as he started to plot what to do next. He stepped to a small switch just inside the room. His hand gripped it and with a mighty pull he flipped it. The far wall shifted and turned as it moved. Henji's face somewhat displaying pleasure as he leaned against the wall. He noticed that this object needed the reaitsu of the one being targeted as an energy source. This was rather difficult as it meant that the odds of them surviving were slim to none. He had to change that.

The wall fully opened and he gazed at a larger room behind the now open wall. It was filled with regular hollow and some captured rouge shini a like. He was going to sacrifice them to make this, and he really had to. The object slowly moved to the center of the newly opened room. It started to twirl a bit as it also was glowing and twist around on all axis'.

His eyes seemed to take in all the sights as it started to suck all the reaitsu from those hollow and rouges that were in the room. Taking and forcing their reaitsu into the object. It was like a suck fest for it. All of those bodies were essentially part of that object now. That object, that was to become the Hogyoku. His eyes widened as parts of the hollow shifted and twisted and the shini as well. They seemed to be taken as part of the object. It completely disintegrated the body of the souls there. However, they were partly disintegrated as they reintergrated as one being. The mass was hollow at first but with shinigami parts to it.

Henji used the object to kill the monstrous being by partly disintegrating the soul and destroying them before they could reintegrate. He realized that if the object could do this he could force a hollow transformation then he could form a vaizard or arrancar. This would take some testing but he could do it, he was certain of it.So this would be the start of something and a series of cruel experiments that would lead to many things happening but it was all worth the end result.

His thoughts were organized and he was ready for anything. He was all ready to try the object out however, it was not ready and he sort of knew it. The core of the object was still too unstable to preform even one transformation let alone the ability to not destroy the person who was being tested with out any adverse affects. His mind started to wonder how he could transform a soul with out destroying it in one swift motion. He figured he needed a real controlling device. He figured he needed a controlling aspect that would allow for a somewhat stable and available chance to live.

He finally figured out that if the core was made to cause the same aspect as if the chain of fate from a soul was detached and how it turned them into a hollow, he figured it would be rather easy to simulate this. Rather, he would create a device that would act as a soul chain. The device would then cause a hollow transformation inside of the being. However, he was unsure of how to do a shinigami part to a hollow. It would be essentially the same by using the device like a conso generator.

He had figured out the want, the way, and the idea, now he had to figure out the experiment to make it work. Grabbing the object he placed it in a small nitch. From there he placed his hand over it and waited for the other parts to be readied by two shinigami who were doing what he dictated.

They had set everything in motion and he was all set to preform this action. Stepping back he allowed the object to peer down on the equipment. Taking his hands and facing it towards the object he began to mutter an incantation. It was subtle and inaudible to those not directly on top of him. He was aiming to seat the equipment and devices inside of the small object.

The room started to glow as he continued to speak. His eyes closed and the room filled with light. A sudden flash and it all started to come clear as it were. His hands dropped to his sides as he levied a sigh of relief. Walking over to the object he looked at it. It was about an inch all the way around, square, and transparent like glass, well it was essentially glass. Inside of it was a small green, almost puke, color sphere.

Piking it up he placed it in his lab coat and walked over to Miss Vegra. His smile cracked and it was kind, comfortng, and not menacing. He looked at her and uttered one phrase.

"Watch this, Miss Vegra."

With that he walked over to a door on the other side of the room. He opened this door and a soul, a standard soul, stood there. There was nothing special about him in any way. Taking the device out of his pocket Henji placed it on a small podium in front of the soul. She stood there scared out of her mind and watching everything Henji was doing.

"I-i-is it going to.....hurt?"

She asked in fear, her eyes, body, and all displaying her fear of death. IT was sad to Henji, seeing a soul like that going to die but at least it was for a cause other than what those in the past have had. Henji lowered his head some as he spoke and used the kindest voice he could.

"I.....I don't know. Thank you for.....volunteering. Your sacrifice will not go unrewarded as you will always be remembered, Miss Pasadena."

He said as his face turned to the side and the 'ritual' commenced. The object, device, the Hogyoku as it were, shined a light on the woman. It started to glow slightly and the woman began to follow suit. Her eyes widened as she screamed out it pain. A white almost liquid like force shot from her eyes, mouth, ears, and nose. It twirled and swirled around her head. Slowly it started to form a makeshift mask. Henji started to whisper in the woman's ear.

"Let it take you, please, don't try to fight it. Let it take you over."

She screamed louder and louder as the liquid formed a mask like structure with little to no detail. It was plain and at a simple look as well. It had two red stripes jutting from the right and left of the head, converging on the center of the mask. From there it shot downward and spread out to the teeth. The teeth were like that of an animal. Truly disgusting it was. She started to become violent and try to lash out but Henji placed his left hand on her head and uttered a small phrase.

With this she screamed out and fell over. Her eyes turned cloudy white but were taken over by a thick black color. Her iris' became gold and her pupil black. It was a menacing site, and it lashed out towards Henji. Henji simply grabbed a hold of the woman's neck and twisted it sideways, snapping it in four places. She had lived a soul and died a hollow, truly a sad sight. Henji dropped the Hogyoku and with that he placed it in his pocket, and was off. The members of the division were taking care of the body.

Henji walked over to Miss Vegra and laid a soft gentle hand on her shoulder. With that he spoke.

"Come, lets go wait for that person I was waiting for before. She should be paying us a visit, Miss Vegra."

There was a silence, an awkward silence around the woman as she watched. Her hair laid around the sides of her face and her bluish eyes gleamed at her captain; showing her obedience. Watch, he said. And so she did. A young woman was huddled in a corner it seemed, fearful and terrified for her very life. Artemis had to supress the pity that stroked aat her heart. Resting her cheek in a curve of her palm, she watched the girl. "I-i-is it going to.....hurt?"" I.....I don't know. Thank you for.....volunteering. Your sacrifice will not go unrewarded as you will always be remembered, Miss Pasadena."Those were the last words the woman had said.

Her captain pulled out a strange device, the same one he had been tinkering with for what it seemed like hours. She wasn't an inventor; though she was a creator. A creaor of art. She had her eyes half closed, feigning interest. Then the sickening happened.

There was a bright light that shone on the woman and suddenly a white liquid spurted from the holes in her face; her nose, her eyes and her mouth. Her bodyu convulsed and a scream escaped her lips; a blood-curtling sound that made Artemis wince and shiver. The woman was spasming in pain; bellowing as her body began to change. Artemis didn't want to watch, she wanted to look away, but she felt locked in terror on the face of the poor soul. Her captain whispered something and moments later, the woman attacked him. Artemis couldn't move. She was paralyzed at the atrocious sight, tears stinging at her eyes.

Just as fast as it began, however it ended. Henji snapped the woman's neck quickly and she passed out, crumpling to the ground where she ly dead. Artemis was silent, unsure of what to say. Why had she needed to see this sight? Why couldn't she move? Even now, she stared at the lifeless corpse as it began to dissapate.

"Come, lets go wait for that person I was waiting for before. She should be paying us a visit, Miss Vegra."

Artemis swallowed nervously, but nodded. Her fear had to be hidden. There was no point in showing fear. Her captain wouldn't approve, but still, the images flashed through her head almost in a haunting slow motion. She managed a nod, before standing, "Yes, Captain Hiorako."

As he stood near the door he waited for the arrival. His right hand seemed to find it's way to Miss Vegra's shoulder. His head unfaltering and his right hand pulling up. A hell butterfly landed on it and he whispered into it. From there he let it fly with instructions on finding and telling Captain Commander Enrya that he had finished the Hogyoku and ERSD.

He then started to speak in a soft voice as he stared off into the distance.

"Miss Vegra, you are scared from what happened aren't you? It's only natural you are. I will not harm you my dear. I will not hurt you at all, that I can promise. I will, instead, protect you. It's strange how we were supposed to be married by now. Arranged marriages are so, odd and out of date. Miss Vegra, I would like to get to know you, if I could. You are one of the few people I wish this with. And Miss Vegra..."

He said and leaned in to whisper to her in her ear. His voice sweet, soft, and hard to hear. She would have been the only one to hear it as well. With that he stood back up, his hand still on her shoulder, and he hoped he offered her some backing and she was able to forget or at least live in peace with what happened.

Artemis shuddered slightly as the last of the images reeled and allowed her to stand in peace. His words soothed her like warmth on a burning throat. She looked at him softly, eyeing his every movement. He was correct in saying they should have been married and she felt the tinge of embarressment yet again. She had run away from the arrangement; afraid of wedding a man she didn't know. Her blue eyes continued to lock on him and she managed a soft smile. He wanted to get to kknow her? What an honor! It made her blush with pride as she dipped her head, "I would be honored Hiorako-daisho." She said in her soft and tender voice. It floated gentlyon the wind like the butterfly as she watched its departure. Her hand rested on the area where his lips almost touched her ear. It felt so wonderful! It felt unreal...

The sands were a dry and horrid place but in them, was found the peace needed for those who liked it. Henji simply stood there, his hand still on her shoulder as he spoke.

'Miss Vegra, please, tell me about yourself. Anything is ok, I'm a man to keep many secrets, as you may have noticed."

He said and with that he clenched his hand around her a little, enough to have her feel it but not enough for her to get hurt. He listened intently to her as she would speak.

Artemis looked at him with tender eyes and smiled softly, "About myself? I'm hardly a subject of interest, Hiorako-daisho." She fluttered her lashes playfully for no reason she even understood. "But as you know I was born of regal family and I've spent alot of my life searching for my disappeared brother." She let out a hum of a sigh and crossed her arms. "He has up and vanished, leaving me alone with uncle and God knows that man keeps whacking me with a cane talking about how I need to settle down and get married."

A soft chuckle appeared from her throat as she smiled a soft and gentle smile at Henji. "The first thing I will do when I see my brother is whack him on the head as well." It was a soft, amusing laugh from her throat as she closed her eyes, feeling the heat billow off of her body. "Is there a spring nearby? I wish to cleanse away some of this sand. It's quite uncomfortable having sand in my hakama."

Henji lauhed softly at her question. He looked around and pointed to the horizon.

"I don't see any. Come, you can come to my quarters and you can take a bath there."

After he said that he offered his arm to her. He would then walk with her to his quarters. After getting there he meandered to the bed and laid down. However, from his position he could easily see the bathtub but she wouldn't be able to know this and he wasn't going to tell her. He simply pointed to the tub and spoke softly as he closed his eyes.

"It's right over there Miss Vegra."

walking gently into the lab he looked around. Ah the smells and sites of such a place were pleasing indeed. He offered a small smile to those working here and he lifted his hand to see the world above, but it was plain ceiling. He looked around at all the equipment and decided to think of something to do, something for Kami to do. He pulled a small soul phone out and dismantled it in record time. From there he laid it down and stood next to it. When he entered he would instruct her to put it back together with out another phone to view from.

Kami saunters in and looks aroudn smiling. There were a lot of different things around here and she liked it. All the science equipment looked so interesting to her. She walked up to Henji and smiled giving him a small bow.
"Shiya Kami reporting for duty captain Hiorako."

He smiled softly and looked at her. She seemed so lost in the world around her, so happy to be there. He loved to see those happy souls and he would either make her happy by his next comment or make her frusterated with time.

"Good, now, if you will, please put this soul phone together. it's a basic instrument that you should know how to repair and create with the pieces here. This is the most common thing that breaks for shinigami. So, please, put it back together, all the pieces are their I assure you."

With that he stood back and watched her work.

Looking over at the table she nods at Henji. Standing by the table she begins picking up peices and inspecting them before placing them back. About ten minutes pass before she holds up the finished soul phone as if nothing had happened to it.
"Finished Taichou."

He smilied warmly as he then put a tracker on the table. He spoke softly and watched.

"Good, now you will dismantle both of these things and try to put them back together respectively. Good luck miss Kami."

his voice was kind, his eyes happy, and he loved to see her work like this. After all, he wanted all his shini to be happy doing what they did.

Lacing her fingers together she crack her knuckles and sits in front of the table, picking up the tracker first and beginning to dismantle it just as she was ordered. After all the peices were on one side of the table she began taking apart the soul phone again. Once that was finished she began re-constructing the tracker, thinking back to her days in the academy about these kinds of things to help her out.

His eyes gazed upon her work and he smiled softly. she was doing well and seemed to fit in perfectly. He decided to prepare a good test for her. Taking a long sealed sword from a locked cabnet he placed it on the table. With that he stepped back and spoke.

"This is a zanpaktou taken from a rouge a long time ago. Few have been able to bring it forth, well in actuality it's a fake with a projection but it's all the same. it will only respond to a specific set of words like any other zanpaktou. All you know is it's name, which is 'Pantera' and all you have to do is try to call it out. You are free to talk to the sword as much as you want and even your own zanpaktou if you feel it would help."

Placing the finished objects to the side, she blinks at the sword. Turning to him as he spoke she nods and then turns back to the sword.
"This might take a while, why don't you go get some fresh air Taichou?"
She was simply begin kind, like she was raised to be. This was going to take a while, she would have to try and get a hold of the swords spirit and try to make it talk.

"That's fine. I'm alright. Continue."

He said a smile on his face and he offered a kind word as he sat down and watched ever her. He wasn't going to let anything harm her in anyway and even if it was a fake bade it would still be problematic if her body rejected the use of her reaitsu, and that was why he was there. he didn't want anything to go wrong and for that, he would stay and watch over her, just in case.

Nodding to his desicion she turns back to the sword. Taking a breath she reaches out to touch it's sheath. Surprisingly it allows her to and she closes her eyes, falling completely silent. For almost an hour she stays like this and doesn't move a single inch.

his eyes rested on her as he sat there. A light tapping emanated from his hand as it rested on the edge of the chair. Nothing other than that sound came from him as he sat there. No words spoken and no movements were seen. He kept perfectly still watching every muscle in her move as she breathed. her chest moving slightly in and out. He simply watched all her reactions to this and nothing more.

Kami stays like this for two more hours....three hours...four hours before she sighs and takes her hand away, opening her blue eyes again. Hanging her head a bit she turns away from Henji.
"Forgive me Taichou, I couldn't find anything."
