The Guard Dog(cont)

The moon had been rising as she ran, it was faster then a normal speed, but slower then a shunpo, her hair followed her as if it was dust, along with her tail, flowing against the wind, she ran low, as if she was faster that way; her ears against head, as her nose twitched she skidded to a stop. She was now at gate two. She leaned on the side of the wall, and stared into the horizon, her ears perked up, acting like such a guard dog, it was quiet comical really, her crimson eyes had been to the horizon as if glued onto it. Her nose twitched, she could still smell Tsuna, as if his scent had never left her.

She glanced towards the direction he was in. Then she looked back to the horizon. She had heard him, hell she could hear just about anything in a two mile radius.She wondered, what pushed this man to help her. She glanced down. She didn’t need help. She scoffed to herself, and her eyes went in a haze, that’s what she was use too. She jumped up, and balanced herself on there, crouching low, as her arms rested on her knees.

She paused, then felt herself close her eyes. She wasn’t tired, even though she should have been, she hadn’t slept for a long while. What was it..a week? She must have saw her room once, and that was too go through and train. She looked up. ”The moon, it’s so sad.” she spoke then glanced to him. Before jumping down off the ledge, and staring at him, only two or three feet away. She tilted her head, her ears twitching. ”I-I Don’t understand you...” she spoke, her red eyes narrowing onto him.

She didn’t like the fact she didn’t understand him. She paused, and her nose twitched, suddenly she went in front of him, her tails on end. Her body tensed, then she calmed down. Some one she knew had been approaching, she couldn’t tell the scent just yet. Her nose twitched, and she tilted her head up in the air, her nose twitching. Just like a dogs.

Tsuna followed her at a steady pace he felt no need to rush after her he could sense her presence easily now while she might smell him he could sense her. He watched as the moon had started to rise and smiled softly to himself the moon always os beautiful he thought to himself how could something you see so often still be so beautiful it was a question that would never be answered by the likes of him of course. He felt the wind in his hair and closed his eyes still following Payne even as she stopped to look at something she really was like a wolf he told himself, even with his eyes closed he managed to avoid tripping over anything. He caught up to her now and jumped up onto a rock that happened to be sitting there as she stated that the moon was so sad and that she didn't understand him he looked at her curiously. He had known many people throughout his spiritual life and his human life many didn't understand him so in turn they hated or feared him instead he was sure Payne would do neither of these things but could he be so sure of this he asked himself.

He decided he would ask her instead he drew in a deep breath and summoned the courage to ask rather quickly "and because you don't understand me have you come to hate me?". He asked calmly but one could hear the twinge of sadness and fear in his voice from just that one simple question, he had remembered hate the feeling it gave one to be hated was unpleasant to say the least. When he had been young the only people that ever even looked at him without fear or hate in their eyes were his parents he had found comfort in that for years, but as he got older he could see something else in their eyes that enraged him beyond anything else pity. He was not someone to be pitied he was strong and no one could hurt him he thought back then but he was just truly a foolish child that wanted someone to care.

The cat like hollow couldn't understand how these little people were so fast and strong whn he who was so much bigger then them was obviously weaker. It was ridiculous it thought to itself these beings were unnatural although it thought they might think the same of him after all he was what they called, what was the word again ah yes a hollow. It's breathing was hard while the little people sat there calmly as he finally caught up Tsuna the male looked back at him smiling that smile was reassuring. Tsuna after smiling at the cat like hollow waved his hands to the ground near him as he sat on the rock like Jigoku he had taken a liking to the cat like hollow seeing as it could understand him. "Glad you could make it" he said in a soft and playful tone to the cat like hollow although he thought maybe it wouldn't get the joke within his words. But to his surprise the cat like hollow nodded and let out a hmph noise it clearly understood what he was saying to it, Tsuna laughed lightly this hollow was truely one of the most interesting things he had met in a while.

Chevalier groaned slightly as he made his way towards the perimeter gate. Even after taking the time to change back into his usual shinigami robes and partially heal himself, his body was still sending signals in protest of his day's activities. It was probably to be expected given what he'd been doing, and once he had time to finish healing he'd be fine, but he wouldn't be able to do that until he got back to his chambers which were still some distance off. He understood why Methias had opted to drop him where he did and all, but given the way he was feeling at the moment he wished they could've brought him in a little bit closer. It felt like the bloody place was a million miles away currently.

His ears pricked up as he heard voices in the distance, who would be talking out here beyond the perimeter wall? Suppressing his reiatsu as much as possible, he sped up his approach with a couple of quick shunpos and then stopped at the treeline to survey the situation. It seemed that Payne was making a new friend, but who was he and what was he doing here? Judging from his spiritual signature and the sheath on his back the most obvious guess would be a shinigami, but if that was the case which category did he fall into as he obviously wasn't one of the ones from Prussia.

'Only one way to find out,' he thought to himself as he made his way clear of the treeline and walked into view, his expression more then friendly enough given the location and late hour, “Evening Payne-dono... and who might this be?” He then paused as a Hollow came running into view, the fur on his ears prickling up in agitation. What was one of those doing out here? Was the ex-captain being derelict in her duties or was there more to this? Placing his hand on his sword he took his preferred stance for iaijutsu and waited for the Hollow to get within reach. Hopefully this would be quick so that he could return to the warm comfort of his bed and recover.

William was pissed. He was not at all happy. He had just returned from meeting Enrya, and finding out that one Shinigami he had found was in Shinigami hands. William was ready to break anything in half. William had stopped running half way from Prussia. He was looking for something to kill. He wanted to kill something. It didn't matter what he just wanted something he could continue to cut, and stab until his anger had left him. It was something he liked. True it wasn't a good thing to like, but when ever he ran into a hollow when he was in a bad mood and had killed it his mood would change. It would change quite fast, after the first few cuts, and stabs. There was a reason why half the people in Prussia feared William when he was in a bad mood. Once there were two prisoners who had killed a woman. They would have usually been thrown in prison for 30 years, but not those two. William was in a bad mood that day. He dragged them both off. The only person who followed him was Chev. This was also the first time Chev had seen William's Bankai. After he had taken the two away they thought they were going to walk away with only a few scars, so they started to make jokes about Prussia, and William's views. It wasn't smart. William unleashed his full power. He cut each of them loose, and gave them weapons to fight. They laughed and charged William until William went Bankai. One was crushed by the sheer pressure of his spiritual pressure. The other did his best to boost his. When he looked up he saw William standing in front of him with his blade still sheathed. The man swung, William used a shadow weapon to block and hold it. He then ripped the man apart piece by piece until he was covered in the prisoners blood. Of course after words when he had calmed down he felt bad. He knew he had also shown Chev a side of him that could have earned William the title of demon.

William had just finished killing two hollows. Not with his Zanpakuto, but with his bare hands. He was in Shikai. His ruby red eyes looked like the eyes of a Demon from the darkest circle of hell. Once William had calmed down he looked down to see his wound had healed for the most part. It was no longer bleeding, and it had closed up. After seeing this he had calmed down. He went back to normal. William then made his way towards the Gates of his Prussia, and back to his people. He had been away from them for far to long, and missed everyone. The people also missed William.

Once William arrived he could feel Payne nearby, and two other pressures. William could feel one was a hollow, and the other a Shinigami. William wasn't happy to see a hollow was close by. He would have to kill this thing if it didn't back away from Prussia, or Payne. He'd also have to remove the Shinigami if he/she didn't have a good reason to be here. He knew Payne could handle both, but he wanted to be the one to protect her. Since Payne had arrived in Prussia, he promised her he would protect her. It may not have been to her face, but it was still something he had to promise her even if she wasn't around to hear it. William cared for everyone who lived in Prussia. If one was hurt or killed, he would feel as if he had just lost a lover, or family.

William shunpo'd over to where Payne, the Shinigami, the Hollow, and now Chev were. Once there he looked at all four of them. His ruby red eyes looking as if he was ready to cut something down. "Who are you, why are you here, and why is there a hollow near Prussia's walls?" William asked in a calm, and yet threating tone. He then looked over at Payne, and then told her to come down and stand in front of him. He wanted anwsers, and he wanted them now. He was still in a bit of a bad mood. William then looked at Chev. His eyes were asking him why the hell he had just arrived here, and where was he.

Payne had paused, it had been the cat. Her eyes then shot open, as she jumped up, landing in front of the cat, her back to it, as she stared to the cat man, and her eyes narrowed on him, as her hands floated over her blade. She paused, she hadn’t been quiet worried for the cat, she glanced back to the Hollow, then her feet shuffled beneath her, and her nose twitched, then her ears went limp and she dropped her arms to her sides.

A minute after it, Will stood there, she could smell his blood all over him, and also the cats. She glanced back to the hollow, and rested her hand on it’s head. She walked towards the two, then fell to her knees. “The shinigami’s name is Tsuna, and the hollow is his pet. He wishes to join Prussia, I let him in. I understand it is not my place to stay, but i will put total watch over both of them.” She spoke her ears limp against her head. As she stayed on her knees her head down, like a scolded dog. She closed her eyes. ”When I first got here, I got the impression Prussia was the land for everyone, for peace. Am I mistaken?” Payne questioned softly, it was the softest anyone had heard Paynes voice get, and a hint of sadness could be detected.

This was a rare sight, for any captain, ex or not. If anyone saw Payne and knew her, they would also know this was something rare for her. She stood up, slowly but kept her head down. Her arms to her side.

”If anything comes of Prussia from these two, I will kill them both, and take whatever punishment is to be at hand, and leave Prussia.” She promised.Her ruby eyes locked with his own, and he could see the truth. She stared into his eyes, searching for some reasoning. William-sama had been quiet a reasonable man, but something made him aggravated, she could sense it. She was a dog inside; after all.

Would she fight both William and the cat so the hollow and shinigami would leave, only enough to stall so they could leave. But after words she would quit fighting, Prussia didn’t need any quarrel from something like that. Payne didn’t want to admit it, but she felt like this shinigami was trying to be her friend, trying to understand her. She felt like she was needed, she blinked. What was she thinking? She blinked and her eyes were as cold as anything. She stared to Will waiting for his decision, her blade in front of the hollow, her body in front of Tsuna, a protective gesture.

Tsuna looked the the new person first as they appeared, how odd he thought to himself did everyone in Prussia have animals ears of some kind. He smiled softly at this thought maybe he could get some animal ears to but then again who knew what they might look like on him probably rather silly on his head he thought to himself. He noted that the cat eared man was looking at the cat like hollow with distrust in his eyes how dreary Tsuna thought to himself another person who distrusts upon sight. He stood up slowly as the man took an odd stance he didn't know what stance it might be but either way if he made amove towards the cat like hollow Tsuna could block it or dodge taking the cat like hollow with him. The cat like hollow also sensed the cat eared man's intentions so it did not move from it's spot laying down behind Tsuna still next to the rock that he had been sitting on just a few seconds, it noted that once again this little person was standing up for it and wondered why it was doing so. Tsuna smiled at the cat eared man holding up his hands to show him he had nothing in his hands, he looked so open but in fact Tsuna had very little openings he stood on the balls of his feet in case he needed to move quickly.

Although he had very little openings Tsuna gave off not a hint of malice or intent to harm anyone let alone kill it was like he was clean like snow whe it first fell from the sky. As for his question Tsuna laughed lightly seeing how he was so straight forward he liked that in a person you didn't see it often enough in people these days they just wanted to play with words when they spoke to one another. "My name is Tsuna now as a courtesy would you say your own name sir?" he asked in that soft melodic tone of his, it was about now that a fourth person joined their small gathering. He seemed very angry with Tsuna and the cat like hollow being so near Prussia or maybe he was just an angry person Tsuna thought to himself although from the way he looked maybe this man had a reason to be so angry. He seemed to be hurt with bits of blood on his clothing Tsuna wondered if maybe he had run into a shinigami and gotten into a fight with them and this is why he was angry with Tsuna but that thought couldn't be right could it the only one that might know he was a shinigami would be Payne he thought.

Again Tsuna turned to the person and smiled warmly it was like he didn't understand the threatening tone that the angry man was giving him. But Tsuna fully understood what the man was asking and saying at the say time, while he was asking him questions he was also telling him something with that tone of his and his body language spoke to Tsuna as well. He was telling him if he answered the questions wrong that he would be attacked or at least that is what Tsuna gathered from the man he wasn't entirely sure if he was correct with this assumption quite yet though. He was going to answer his questions but it seemed Payne was getting to them before he could he was surprised by her actions. While he liked Payne he had not expected her to cover for the cat like hollow he might have guessed she would cover for him as she had accepted his offer to join with him and Jigoku but she made it seem like he was pledging himself to Prussia instead. That drew a concerned frown from him while he was indeed joining Prussia he was not pledgign himself to it or it's leader he was merely pledging himself with Payne he wondered if she actually knew that or if she thought something else.

She was quite serious with her words he could tell it was a little surprising to him as he expected her to speak in that same monotone voice she had been but now he could feel real emotions in her voice. It made him a little hopeful maybe she was learning to accept her feelings that she had locked away deep inside the darkness she held within her body. Throughout her little speech Tsuna began to relax once more as he relaxed he sat upon the rock he had been before the cat eared man and the angry man arrived. He crossed his legs and held his head in his hands watching everyone now with a silent curiousity he wondered why the angry man did not have animal like ears when clearly the other two did. He also wondered who the angry man was maybe he was like a captain or vice captain rank who knew but obviously he was above Payne in the ranking system if she chose her words so carefully, within this silent curiousity something else lurked. An overwhelming feeling for Tsuna it wasn't anger or hate it was loyalty towards Payne, if the angry man tried to hurt her Tsuna would spring into action Payne was now part of his 'family' he wouldn't allow her to be hurt.

“This One is known as Chevalier,” he responded as he moved his hand away from his weapon, his stance relaxing a bit as he waited for Will's response to Payne's speech.

If what what she was saying was true then he had no problems with letting this new arrival and his partner in for the moment, that was what Prussia had been built for after all. It was obvious to anyone who knew how to read him though that he was still a tad on edge, one look at the way his tail was moving or the positioning of his ears and that much was obvious. But then again what properly trained shingami wouldn't be when standing right next to a Hollow, they were their natural enemy after all and purifying them was what he'd been taught to do.

Bowing slightly he continued, “This One is sorry for the misunderstanding... if what Payne-dono has said is true then Sessha would most humbly like to welcome you to Prussia and hopes that you will enjoy your respite with us for however long it is you wish to stay.”

When Payne had responded to William, he felt bad. He was taking his anger out on them. It wasn't right, he shouldn't be doing that, after all he was the leader/king of prussia. The man everyone loved for his caring nature, and also for his caring and peaceful ways. William was considered to be the man a lot of people wished they were like. Many people didn't want bloodshed which is why they followed William. They also followed William due to the amount of rights and freedoms he gave the people. Prussia was a place to escape anger, war, and hate. Sadly William wasn't showing it here.

When the one Shinigami introduced himself, William just stood there, and looked at Payne. Then what Chev was saying. He was feeling a bit like him. Yet he was calm, and William was not. Now William was, he felt bad for what he had done. William gently fell to his knees and placed his arms around Payne. "I'm sorry Payne... I've caused you much distrust in myself, and in Prussia... Can you forgive me?" William asked as he gently pushed himself away. Before he did he kissed the top of Panye's head. Then he stood up to his feet. "I am sorry Tsuna, and you are right... My name is William Siegfried the Leader, or King of Prussia. I welcome you and you're 'pet' to Prussia." William finished introducing himself with a kind and friendly smile.

She paused then everything seemed to go ever so fast. She felt herself tense up, as she felt William kiss her head. Her hair would have smelled like dog, roses and blood, if he smelled her hair, she paused, then her ears perked up as if she was happy, that he had forgave her, her tails swaying slowly, as she stood up. Then she glanced between the two groups. [color=red]”Thank you, Chevalier-Sama, William-Sama.” She spoke and bowed respectfully, her nose twitched.The foul smell entering her nostrils, causing her nostrils to crunch up in disgust. She frowned at the thought of the blood.

” I smell it on you.” her voice seemed annoyed, if not hurt. ”Blood“ her eyes narrowed, in small slits, and she paused then glanced at both Chevalier and William. She glanced to both of them, her ears flicked down, then up. She paused, she wondered what happened to them. She never thought Chevalier had liked her, but she would like to see what was wrong with William. She looked to him; she would ask him about it later. She could feel the irritation irraditing from them. She would have growled if she wasn’t biting down on her lip; to hold back the growl. She’d hunt them down, she felt sort of a master and his dog servant when it came to William-sama, with Chevalier, she knew there had been some differences between them.

She then took a step back, so she could stare at all four of them. ”It is apparent that you two.” Payne spoke then glanced towards William and Chevalier. ”You guys should rest.” she spoke; well it was an order, but it seemed like it was respectfully. She paused, ”I will show Tsuna around, and give the cat a collar and leash.” she spoke then bowed respectfully to William, and Chevalier.

Tsuna looked at them all with what seemed to be boredom in his eyes although he kept the smile on his face it was more for show then a feeling of any kind these people seemed rather close he thought to himself. He then looked to the one called Chevalier he was an odd one he thought talking like that, his eyes focused on his cat like ears once more he so wanted an answer to how he got them. But of course you don't ask people such personal questions right away now do you, why not he thought to himself after all he had directly asked Payne how she had gotten her wolf like ears and she hadn't seemed to be offended. He decided that he would ask Chevalier when he got the chance after all if he didn't ask soon he might never ask due to the nervousness he would feel, this surprised him it had been a while since he was nervous around others. He didn't show his nervousness on his face that would be showing weakness that last time he felt like this hmm even he couldn't remeber maybe it was the first time he had ever spoken to Jigoku but who knows for sure he thought.

During all his thinking he barely noticed that the angry man or as he had called himself William siegfried had apologized and told him he was the leader of Prussia. What a surprise Tsuna thought to himself to meet the leader outside of the gates of his own territory yet in a way he wasn't surprised he had a feeling something interesting was going to happen if he came here today. And what did you know things had become very interesting he thought to himself with a small smirk he always told Jigoku his feelings weren't just random urges to get rid of boredom he always knew the feelins would give him something fun to do. Realizing he was being rude he put out his hand in a small wave to William and smiled as he tilted his head to the side at the same time it gave him a look as if he were mocking William in some fashion. "It is a pleasure to meet you William I do hope you will be less irritated the next time we meet" he said in a playful tone like he didn't care one bit for the man's rank. And this was true to Tsuna ranks were an illusion that people tried to use to control a little bit of an uncontrollable world to him everything and everyone was equal whether they be hollow or shinigami.

As he heard Payne explain that she was going to show him around and get a leash and collar for the cat like hollow it brought a slight frown to his face. The cat like hollow was not a pet it was more of an ally or friend to Tsuna already pets were something that obeyed without question and couldn't understand you on the same level a person could. This hollow could clearly understand everything they were saying now as it stared at them calmly Tsuna knew he couldn't keep the hollow around like it was an animal. He hopped off of his rock and landed next to the cat like hollow he was crouched now and face to face with the hollow eyes staring into it's dark eyes with his own multicolored calmly. He put his hand on it's muzzle and smiled warmly at it "time for you to go, you don't belong caged up with us go be free" he said softly. The cat like hollow nodded slowly and stood up it began to walk away now giving one last look to the tiny male creature named Tsuna he had saved his life something he would not forget. Tsuna waved at the departing hollow like it was his best friend leaving now his back turned to them he cupped his hands around his mouth suddenly yelling loudly. "If you see anymore hollows try to be friendly before you try and eat them they might be the same as you" he said in a joking tone before letting out a soft laugh, he turned back to Payne, William, and Chevalier like nothing had happened.

Chevalier watched as Tsuna’s Hollow friend ran off into the woods, he was going to have to warn the guards about it if the now Rogue Shinigami really was going to be staying with them. It just wouldn’t be right to have the poor creature purified accidentally after all now would it?

“You’re letting it go?” A voice in the back of his mind asked quietly, “Now you won’t even cut down your natural enemy? I thought you had sworn to purify those poor lost souls and send them on to the next life… you really have gone soft haven’t you?”

Ignoring Kuromira he turned to regard Payne and Tsuna for a moment and then nodded, “Yes… Sessha believes that this is a good idea. We should meet again in the morning when things have cooled down and discuss this again.” He bowed politely, “In the mean time This One shall excuse himself and retire for the night. Please take good care of our guest Payne-dono.”

With that parting request he was gone, vanished in a burst of Shunpo and on his way through the gates. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to stay and talk with the others; it was just that he didn’t feel up for it at the moment. Too much had happened today for him to be able to lend a proper ear to Tsuna’s story and so he had excused himself. Details like that could wait until the morning, for now he just wished to sleep and forget his ordeal for a little while.



OOC: Exit

William smiled as the Tsuna taunted him in a way. William could care less, after all he did just come off as a ass hole not to long ago. Once William was done saying all that was needed to be said he looked to see the cat like hollow run off. William looked at Chev who knew he was going to have to warn the guard. Which of course he'd have to keep the Knights out to keep their eyes open, and the troops from losing it and killing the hollow. William just shook his head before he looked back at Payne who said she'd give Tsuna a tour of Prussia. William smiled. That was going to be one hard job since Prussia was nearly the size of Germany now.

William then felt Chevalier leave. Most likely he was going to get some rest. He couldn't blame him, since William was tired himself. He'd been out in the wastes for a good few weeks now, and had been wounded due to not paying attention. "Alright Payne I leave everything to you. When you're free I'll answer you're questions." William replied seeing how she would want to know why William was both late and covered in his own blood. "Tsuna, I bid you adieu. You are free to do as you wish here in Prussia, and Chevalier is already warning the guards about you're comrad." William told Tsuna as he slightly bowed. Before he left he kissed Paynes hand as was something he always did when leaving any woman. It showed he was both a gentlemen and someone who cared for them.

Within seconds William shunpo'd away back to Siegfried Castle where he'd get his rest.

EXIT--->Siegfried Castle

Tsuna stood up and stretched out lightly he was becoming bored with this already and decided it was time for him to make like a tree and leave, he smiled at such a terrible joke even if it was from himself. He waved to Payne lightly with his left hand and suddenly he disappeared from sight using shunpo to explore the new land he had been brought to so graciously by Payne.
