| Name: Methias Stelligar Age: 314 Visual Age: Late Teens / early 20's Gender: Male Ex-Division: 2 (Lieutenant) - 6 (Captain) Order: High Court Appearance:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Appearance: Methias stands at a relatively high six foot tall, not too tall, but big enough to be eye catching. His hair is of the darkest of black, almost as if a ray of sunlight had never touched upon it. It is just long enough to reach his chin at it's longest points, and is style'd in no particular way, as if he had just woken up and got out of bed like it. His somewhat blood red eye's tend to gaze upon the world with a genuine hint of empathy. With put a petite nose and thin lips, he tends to be a rather attractive young man, a man many a woman would become weak-knee'd over. His clothing consists of many an item, although the look is only complete once all are taken into account. His trousers are of the same shade of his hair, the darkest of blacks that can almost pierce your eye's as a bright light would. They sit tightly around his waist, yet are somewhat loose around the leg department, apparently for comfort. While this is not as extreme as a shinigami's pants, the fact that they are baggy remains noticable. His chest tends to be uncovered to the outside world, toned and strong muscle's being on display to those who would glance upon him. If this is not the case, however, he wears a white buttoned shirt, with the top three buttons undone. However, with or without the shirt, he wears a black trenchcoat, which stops just before his ankle's. His feet wear a pair of black trainers, as to not go against the general look of the rest of his clothing. This is clearly somebody who cares about their outward appearance. At all times, he has a piece of fabric wrapped around both hands, much like a boxer does before a fight. The reason for this is unknown, but then again, nobody has really ever asked. He appears not to carry a Zanpaktou, however, his is but a relatively small dagger that curves over his hand while using it, and as such, is attached to his belt inconspicuously. Reiatsu color: White Height: ~ Six foot tall. Weight: 140 pounds. Hair Color: As black as the night sky. Eye Color: Blood Red Body Type: Average Additional Information: He appears to have strange markings beneath the fabric he wraps around his hands. They are somewhat akin to burn marks yet are the slightist hint of blue. Personality:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Personality: Methias is a genuinely kind hearted person, able to see the good in anyone and almost anything. This is apparent in his way of fighting, as he tends to set himself boundaries, as to not outright kill an opponent if they are weaker than he is. He will often try to help people for apparently no reason, and will infact risk his own life for the safety and comfort of others. Due to this nature, however, he is incredibly emotional, and is likely to snap if someone were to attack his friends or allies. If he were to snap, he would become somewhat of a beserker, relentlessly attacking the one who made him snap until they were nothing more than a smoldering corpse rotting six feet under. During this state he appears to feel no pain, no remorse, and only the hatred that fueled the rage. This is but a double edged sword, as he is likely to push himself beyond his limits, and through any injury he may incur, inevitably causing him to make a minor injury serious, or worse. Another one of Methias' most interesting personality traits would be his mild vanity. Albeit he is kind in nature, his actions appear to be that of some kind of comic book villian who cares that little bit too much about their appearance. He hates feeling ugly to the opposite sex, and makes sure to be eye-catching at any turn. He is also likely to act flirtacious around women he finds attractive, often giving a heartpounding smile, or a sly wink. However, he is definately not a ladies man, and is very respectable to women in conversation. He doesn't really appear to hate anything, his ability to try and see good in anything tends to prevent the hatred. However, one thing he truly detests in those who kill for the pleasure of it. Fighting could always be considered fun, yet if one was to attack an innocent and cut their life short, well, they would deserve the same action done to them without a moments hesitation. He is also -very- respectable, and gives respect to those around him as if they were at the same level as him, or even his best friend and leader, Armond. He speaks with a highly emotional tone, sounding a bit like someone who is full of love, happiness and joy. However, when it is required of him to be serious, his voice changes into an almost sinister sound, a slight hint of possible malice being heard within. This is also the voice he uses in battle, if he were to consider speaking. Fears: Methias fears but only one thing, his friends, family and allies being taken away from him. Methias was born as the third son of the Stelligar Family, one of the lesser known noble family's in the Soul Society. However, his birth was nothing more than an omen to those who witnessed it. The Stelligar family was one that gave birth to only girls, and the birth of a male child within the family could mean only one thing. This child would have the power to save, or destroy the world. The only thing they could do was to do as the legend said they must do if such an enevitability were to occur. To kill the child. This was to be done on the childs seventh birthday, or the entire family would die instantly.
And as such, he lived the life of a normal child, being raised up not knowing of his inevitable death, or his family's dispise of him. However, he was often left to his own devices, living without the feeling of love being taught to him. It was due to this, however, his own heart opened up to the outside world, becoming an incredibly loving young boy, who regularly wondered off outside to help insignificant creatures who were going to die.
Time passed quickly, however, and on the night before his seventh birthday his dinner had been injected with a form of sleeping mixture. This was to put him in, of course, a deep sleep, and enable their ritual to begin. Methias remembers nothing of this moment, only a voice as he came to. The voice of Armond La'Crow Silverblood. Five days had passed, and he had finally woken up. He knew nothing of what was going on, but he was to live with Armond from now on. His days from then on seemed to have much more conversation within them, even if Armond was away constantly on "Shinigami Business". The house itself was grand, Methias being an orphan there seemed to make him have to sort himself anything he wished to eat or do out. This was no problem, however, as now Methias now had his first friend, and a place he could truly call home.
It was when Armond was 200 that he came back to the house a captain. Methias Stelligar, living with the second division captain. It was an amazing feeling, at at the age of only fourteen, it was almost as if he was living with a super hero. It was on that day that Methias himself became obsessed with becoming a Shinigami of the Gotei 13, and began to train each and every day, even before his enrolement. The only thing he could really do was train in the art of swordsmanship, the other activities being somewhat difficult to train with alone. However, he eventually put down the sword, and began fighting at close quarters, namely with his fists. It was but twenty years after that, that Methias gained entrance into Shinigami Training.
At the young age of Thirty-Four, for a Soul atleast, Methias was expected to fail instantly at every aspect of being a Shinigami. It wasn't due to the person he was living with, if anything that was giving others higher expectations of him. Nor was it his family name. No, it was the fact that many couldn't understand a Shinigami being made at such a young age. It was rumored that training would take around ten years minimum for most Shinigami, and for Methias, it was expected to take fifty. However, he himself was not one to fear other people's speculations, and he continued to train as well as he could to prove himself.
Yet something came amiss when it came to Kido. His lessons were quickly proving he himself couldn't perform even Byakurai, let alone anything higher. No, he was infact, useless at the art. Anything he tried became an instant fail, and even if by some miracle of a chance he could infact cast the Kido, it would end up going so wrong that it would do more harm than good. Many people's speculations were being proven again, but that was until the saw his hand to hand battling.
It was during his offensive weapons training. Kendo, to be precise. They had been given their weapons, and it was him and the most weapon-able Shinigami to come face to face. The battle was onesided for the majority of the time, the other student quickly proving his superiority with a weapon. However, something unexpected had occured, at it became apparent that Methias' self-training had not gone amiss. Dropping the weapon, he became an almost entirely different person. His eye's became focus'd, his stance came of someone who had been training for years. As the next attack came at him, he stepped forwards, dodging the lunge, moving to one side. As he did this, he placed his foot on the adversaries shin, before pushing all his weight onto it. His leg snapped instantly, a grown man screaming in agony on the floor.
Punishment was of course given out for this. It wasn't expected that in training you would injure your partner, but he had caught the eye's of many a seated officer. It was but sixteen years, at the age of fifty, the he had eventually graduated from the Academy and gained entry into the Gotei 13. Squad 2, Armond's Squad, to be exact. He of course started out low in the ranks, having to work his way up from scratch, but it didn't take him too long to gradually improve. Although he couldn't use Kido, which made Shunko an ability that he would never be able to learn, he was still one of the most capable members of the Second Division. He had learned Shunpo, and his hand-to-hand fighting was something anyone would be proud of. At the age of One Hundred and Seven, he was the Lieutenant of the Second Division, had mastered his Shikai, and was looking at one of the most promising Lieutenants who could possibly make it as a Captain.
It was but Seven years later than Armond had disappeared. Rumor was that something had taken hold of him and he had to leave. Other rumors suggested that he had infact been murdered, although Methias himself would never believe this. He himself had known that Armond was an incredible escape artist, and that he could escape anyone trying to capture him. It was this push that had led Methias to begin training to learn his Bankai, something that he spent the majority of his free time doing. If he wasn't eating, sleeping, or on a mission, he was training to progress into the mastery of the next stage of developement. Each and every day he felt himself get a little closer to his goal, and after eighty years, he had achieved this. Bankai. It wasn't mastered, but it was there. It would have taken even longer to master this stage, and Methias was to sure to be progressing as fast as he could to do so.
Shortly after gaining his Bankai, the current Sixth Division Captain had died in battle with an advanced level Hollow. Rumor's were that they had undergone Shinigamification. As the need for a Captain was apparent, Methias was picked to replace this man. One of his fondest memories to date was thelook of awe the members of the Sixth Division bestowed upon him as he entered the room in his Captains Haori. He ruled over the Sixth Division for twenty years, and things were relatively quiet, until that day. The day that had changed Methias' life forever. He was Two-hundred and six at the time.
Someone had entered into his Division, through the Senkai Gate which he was given to use to access the human world. This was incredibly odd, to say the least. This must have been someone who knew the ins and outs of the Soul Society. Being alerted to this, Methias rushed to the gate, only to find someone standing before him who he hadn't seen for nearly one hundred years. Armond La'Crow Silverblood. And this time, they were on opposite ends of the playing field. However, Methias couldn't bring himself to draw his blade. Instead, he listened to what his old friend had to say. He needed soeone he trusted. Someone to be his ally once more. And he had chosen the boy he had saved all those years ago. Letting out a light sigh, Methias looked back to Soul Society, before thinking about the decision he was about to make. However, the experiment had already begun.
Black and white fragments floated freely through the air, manifesting before his face. A burst of agony rippled through his body, a scream leaving Methias mouth that couldn't be heard. Rage filled his head, pain filled his body, hatred flowed from his fists. A creature was being formed in place of him, and nothing was quite as it could've been. Opening his eye's once more, nothing was as it once was. He found himself in a desolate wasteland, black and blue aura's filling the air above him, the same colour scheme beneath him. And before him was a mirror image, a white shadow of himself. It almost mocked him as it started to attack, Methias using all his skills in avoiding and counterattacking to do what he could. The battle felt as if it was going at an incredibly fast pace, and before long both he and his inner hollow were at a stalemate, both unable to land a clean hit, but both exhausted to the point of "One hit, one win".
An earthshaking eruption then roared through Soul Society, Methias being revealed in a White and Black mask. The mask was strange, to say the least, as it infact covered up his face, and his hair. The eye's were perfectly wrapped around his, and several spikes decorated the outside. The pieces of masks that covered his hair were also unique in the way they were semi-cracked, each hair individually being covered by a different strand of the mask. Before a moment had passed, however, Methias had clapsed, Hollowfication being something that was truly exhausting, especially in the way that Armond had gone about it. Without further speaking, Methias was taken to the human world.
Now, around One-Hundred years later, Methias lives with Armond once more, and is currently the his right-hand man. From this point on, our story continues...
