Kueshi noticed Chevalier dissapear and made himself turn around before he had time to see wether his kido had landed or not. He caught Chevalier behind Reyne with a ball of red kido glowing in his hand. Kueshi yelled "Reyne move!" and lunged off of the log that Chev had cut off the tree to give himself a speed boost, once Kueshi hit the ground he used Shunpo to put himself inside of Chev's guard after he fired off his kido.

Once inside of Chev's guard Kueshi took a swing around leg level with his shikai towards Chevalier's legs. Kueshi couldn't help but grin at Chevalier as the fibres on his zanpakuto broke from the hilt and moved to wrap around his legs in an effort to bind him to the ground.

Kueshi looked back towards Reyne hoping she would either bind his arms or take another shot at him after she got out of the way of Chevalier's kido. He left the rest of this up to her.

Reyne got shivers down her back, feeling that danger was coming from behind her, she dropped down a few feet dodging the attack from her brother. She then pushed her hair behind her ears and said to her borther. "heh nice try brother, but uncle didnt train me for nothing." Reyne then turned quickly to face both her captain and brother, taking aim shot off three arrows, one above, one below, and one at him with less intensity so it wouldnt hurt him to badly. She then used shinpo to pop up in front of her brother with her shikai shaped into a katana and came at him fully expecting him to parry. ~~I wonder what would happen if his ice shikai met my fire shikai......would it melt or create steam?....Eh either way it would be very interiesting indeed.~~

'Quick yet predictable,' Chevalier thought to himself as he watched Kueshi make a sweep at his legs, 'He's most likely intending to go for a binding type maneuver again given the apparent nature of his shikai... block, then break his rhythm.' Twisting his wrist the rogue shinigami pointed the tip of his weapon towards the ground and placed it between the oncoming wires and himself, providing himself a little extra breathing room as they began ensnaring his weapon. Ignoring the sounds of the weapons crackling as the superheated material of Ku's "whip" came in contact with Shinoyuki's unnaturally chilled surface, he then brought his free hand up and placed it in front of his opponent's face in a counterattack of his own, "Hado 1, Sho."

Turning to confront the next threat as Reyne appeared before him with her zanpakuto now in katana form, his gaze narrowed slightly as he weighed his options, 'Frontal attack, little time to evade... counterattack to the solar plexus, target momentarily neutralized... threat level temporarily reduced.' Leaning back, he allowed the blade of her weapon to pass through the space he'd occupied only a split second earlier as he used his empty hand to take ahold of his saya in preparation for his next action. Tugging the wooden sheath from his belt, he brought it up as his opponent's attack passed over him and with precision born from much practice moved to slam the slitted end of it into the area between his twin's breasts with full force in an attempt to knock the wind from her lungs.

Chevalier's Sho knocked Kueshi backwards into the ground, coughing as he hit, stunned slightly. He took a quick damage check. 'Okay, no real damage done, slight headache. Probably no concussion from that one, but there's a bruise on my cheek. My Zan seems to be having a little bit of trouble against his because of the temperature difference but i wonder if his is having the same thing done to it...' Kueshi brought himself back to his feet by rolling backwards putting about ten feet between him on the ground and Chevalier in front of him in the air.

Kueshi raised a hand to do a kido as well as raising the other, willing the strings of his zanpakuto to entwine the weapon entirely except for one point about three inches from the guard; also where the kido would be aimed. He gathered a large amount of spirit energy and yelled "Shakkaho!" firing off the ball of red light into Chevalier's weapon when he had a clear shot past Reyne. He had to be careful not to miss and hit his Vice Captain on accident who was only maybe a foot away after being knocked back slightly by Chevalier's sucker punch with his sheath. If his shot hit and his theory was right the heating of Chevalier's sword would weaken it enough for the impact of the Kido to bend it slightly, making it somewhat unwieldy.

Kueshi was hoping that if nothing else, his distraction would give Reyne a little bit of time to catch her breath, even if his theory was wrong.

Reyne's eyes opened wide with the shock of the hit between her breasts and with some quick thinking took a small step back, making the hit a bit less damaging. However even with that, the blow was still enough to make her lose the air from her lungs for a few moments and cause her to call over coughing. Rolling down to the ground from the impact, though in doing so she insured she be out of harms way till she could fully recover.

Now momentarily clear of Reyne's attack, Chevalier focused his energy into the blade of his zanpakuto and began charging his next attack, “Tōru Kabuto Tōketsu ha.” Within less then a second thousands of minuscule points of ice formed along the edge of his weapon, creating a nearly imperceptible serrated edge as the wires from Kueshi's weapon began to further entwine Shinoyuki. “You should know better then that Taicho-kun... the katana is a slicing weapon, designed to do the most damage on a return stroke. You should never try to grab it or ensnare it with such a thin weapon.” To prove his point, he yanked hard on the hilt of his sword, creating a large burst of steam as the keen serrated edge of his zanpakuto sliced through the inner layers of wire binding his weapon. The task proving relatively easy due to the heated wires having become somewhat brittle after coming in contact with the super-cold surface of Shinoyuki's blade. With his weapon now once again free, he twirled the hilt around his finger in a gunslinger-esque fashion as he brought his zanpakuto back into a reverse grip and pivoted on his heel to allow the Second Division commander's hado to fly past him.

Glancing down at his opponents, he took a split second to assess the situation and then vanished into another shunpo. Reappearing back on the ground a few yards to the left of his targets he swung his weapon in a wide diagonal cross-cut, “Shimobashira.” Upon command the serrations on his blade vanished, instantly replaced by three hundred newly formed icicle needles which took to the air in a 90-degree arc of fire following the path he'd indicated with his slash. How would Kueshi react now, would he attempt to protect both himself and his stunned vice-commander or would he only bother to save his own hide. Chevalier had already made an educated guess, but he was curious whether his read of the young commander was accurate or not.

Kueshi thought to himself hard for a moment. all that could form in his mind was one word. 'crap.' Kueshi used Shunpo to put himself directly infront of Reyne and held out his hands preforming a kido. "Danku." An energy barrier popped up to block the icey needles from reaching him or his Lieutenant. This Chevalier was a very dangerous man. If Kueshi hadn't jumped in to save Reyne she could have very well been hospitalized of not killed by that attack. Kueshi had hoped that Reyne would have had time to recover by now, after all she did just have the air knocked out of her. Kueshi had been left defenseless after Chevalier did what he did to Kueshi's Zanpakuto. "You are a formidable opponent." Kueshi said towards Chevalier.

Kueshi took a moment behind the shield to concentrate his reiatsu on the fibres of his Zanpakuto now laying motionless on the ground. He could bring them back to life, but it would take a bit of work. He could get maybe half of them moving right away, but he wanted all of them to work at once or it wouldn't mean anything, so he just sat there focusing trying to bring them all back to life. It was a bit of a strain on him to do, he had never faced an ice user with such skill as to do something like that before.

"Cough....Jerk...Cough"Reyne then glared at her brother and sighed, she then stood up slightly after her captain had covered her from her brother's attack. She placed a had on his shoulder and whispered into his ear, "Thank you." After coughing for a few moments she stood fully up and shinpoed to be behind her brother and silently casted sho , fully realizing he wouldn't go far or might doge, but she was hoping he would at least let her do this to him. Then after she cast sho, she backed up some, while changeing her weapon back to a bow and then shot a few arrows at him just to add some spice or whatever to the attack. Reyne hopped this would stall long enough for her captain to at least repair his sword or at least get to where he could attack again.

Sensing Reyne's sudden appearance behind him, Chevalier was left with almost no time to react as her Sho hit him in the back and sent him flying. Twisting his body around and upside-down in mid-air, in a feat of skill a professional acrobat would have envied, he put his hands down against the ground and pushed off into a backwards hand-spring. Landing with his feet firmly planted against Kueshi's barrier, he pushed off with all of his strength and twisted his hips to put his body into another flying spin, holding his blade out in front of him diagonally so that the centrifugal force of his attack would allow him to deflect his sister's arrows away harmlessly.

As the distance between the two of them closed he vanished in a shunpo, reappearing within arm's reach of her exposed side as he brought his weapon across in a spinning cross-slash aimed at what he remembered being her dominant weapon arm. He wasn't trying to kill anyone here after all, just disable them or force them to yield the fight to him.

Kueshi let down his Danku before Chevalier hit it, thinking that it would throw him off balance. Chevalier had already shown himself to have an insane level of acrobatic skill, Kueshi didn't need to give him a springboard to jump off of or regain his balance against. Kueshi used his Shunpo to fly past Chevalier at an aproximate forty-five degree angle to him on Chevalier's right side about two feet away.

Kueshi let out a cry as Chevalier continued to flip backwards: "Shakkaho!" A blast of red fire shot out from Kueshi's hand into Chevalier's right elbow. Even if he managed to evade the attack, the point of doing this was more to throw him off balance than to do damage.

Kueshi had placed himself near where his Zanpakuto had fallen to the ground and held his hilt out towards it. The fibres started atatching themselves to the sheath forming a whip once again. The zanpakuto was now back to working order.

Reyne watched as her brother defected her arrows, she sighed. ~~ These two are diffentally fast and skilled, not sure how much longer I can participate. If they go bonkai there would be no need for me at that point....~~ Reyne noticed that her brother was coming at her and was going to try and hit or cut her dominate hand. The problem was there wasn't much she could do in the span of time she had.

Reyne decided the best plan would to be drop her weapon down to knief and attempt to block her brother with her zanbakto's sheath. she hand't done it often, but she still knew how and was good enough to at least minimize the damage he was going to do to her arm. Whispering/mumbling to herself softly" Please work. Please work,."
